To the Editor: I would just like to take this opportunity to tell you a bit about myself and the position I am running for. My name is Ed Sapienza and I am a candidate for Hillsborough County Register of Deeds.

STUNNED. Astonished. Puzzled. This was my reaction to the news that Gov. Chris Sununu had vetoed House Bill 143 relative to recommittal of prisoners by the parole board. This simple bill would allow parolees with a drug problem to go to residential treatment instead of back to prison.

To the Editor: I read Kathleen Sullivan's column regarding the GOP congressional race in the First District. It was nothing more than a partisan hatchet piece by the former chairman of the New Hampshire Democratic Party.

Twice, Republican primary voters lifted John McCain's struggling presidential campaign off the mat.

JOHN McCAIN always frustrated me. I admired his service and sacrifice, enduring torture rather than provide a public relations boost to America's enemies or leave his brothers-in-arms.

To the Editor: The founding fathers recognized at the conception of this country the fundamental rights granted to us at birth.

To the Editor: President Trump recently tweeted 'The failing nytimes wrote a Fake piece today implying that because White House Councel sic Don McGahn was giving hours of testimony to the Special Councel sic, he must be a John Dean type 'RAT,''

To the Editor: Kevin Landrigan, obviously a graduate of the CNN's 'I hate Republicans fake journalism school,' in one sentence of an Aug. 20 article managed to smear all the Republican candidates from both the First and Second Congressional Districts.

To the Editor: Gov. Chris Sununu signed House Bill 1264 on July 13, requiring residency in New Hampshire in order to vote. Originally, college students were considered domiciled, being that they live in New Hampshire nine out of 12 months of the year.

To the Editor: When a person is elected to serve and represent their constituents, and they actually do that in a meaningful and serious manner, it is important to keep them at it for as long as they are willing to serve.

To the Editor: I've never written a letter to the editor before, but feel compelled to voice my support for Naomi Andrews to become our next Congresswoman in New Hampshire's First District.

To the Editor: Although I agree with Pat Buchanan's defense of President Trump stripping John Brennan of his security clearance, I take offense at his comparing a top-security clearance as an 'entitlement like Social Security.'

To the Editor: Why not a woman? We, the people, need a woman, a determined, strong, not a novice any longer, with the roar of her voice on the New Hampshire stage, fighting for the rights of the taxpayer!

To the Editor: Back in 2011, my town was redistricted from the First District to the Second. Because my heart is still in the First, I am watching that Democratic primary with a sense of distress.

To the Editor: We are in a strange election cycle as in both the First and Second Congressional Districts. Non-residents of the districts are running. I guess they are taking a page out of Maxine Waters playbook, who does not live in the district she represents.

Two Republicans in the New Hampshire Senate have proven themselves to be hard-working and reliable stewards of the public trust, and deserve another term in Concord.

To the Editor: Thank you for that excellent article last Monday about the new airport director.

PERHAPS ONE DAY a court will find that Donald Trump conspired with his personal lawyer Michael Cohen to pay nondisclosure agreements meant to silence his mistresses. Perhaps one day the House will impeach Trump for breaking those campaign finance laws, and then maybe the Senate will also remove him from office.
