Adding a fourth lane to I-93 corridor between Salem and Manchester under review
Bridges already have been updated to accommodate four lanes, but about 15 miles of the highway on each side will be built with three lanes and shoulders. Another roughly 8 feet of pavement will need to be added later to fit a fourth lane. Fourth-lane construction could start next year and be completed by the September 2020 timetable.
