To the Editor: I agree with your recent editorial statement 'But Edwards took a stand, and took a chance. It didn't seem to matter as he beat Sanborn by 6.5 percent. We could use a little more independence in Washington.'

To the Editor: New Hampshire has made no progress this year in enacting commonsense gun control. New Hampshire Democrats have actively pushed for gun safety legislation such as banning bump stocks and allowing school districts to ban guns.

To the Editor: For those who are upset that the debt has gone up another 1 trillion and it's all President Trump's fault, please remember that it is Congress that controls the purse strings.
