To the Editor: As a three-term state representative, I'm writing to support Rep. Dick Marple and Michael Yakubovich in the primary on Sept. 11.

Aldermen voted Tuesday to approve issuing a 3 million general obligation bond as part of an amended agreement with the developer behind a new Millyard hotel, to be used to help cover cleanup costs associated with contaminated soil at the site.

To the Editor: Here we go again with district shopping candidates, aka carpetbaggers. Maura Sullivan, an Illinois native who arrived in New Hampshire from D.C. last summer, and who has no connection to the state, is running for the First District seat in Congress.

To the Editor: There is a current dialog about what constitutes 'combat' for purposes of political bragging rights. There is room to include many activities in a hostile environment in the term, but this discussion misses the point.

To the Editor: We urge every Democrat and every independent to vote for Chris Pappas in the upcoming Democratic primary. Chris is a true statesman with a devotion to public service, something we find too little of in Washington these days.
