Funding medical breakthroughs
To the Editor: I have been saying for some time that we owe it to the next generation to give them a world with better medical treatment options than we have today. To do this we need to fund the research.

Manchester gang leader faces 33 additional indictments
The suspected head of a Manchester street gang, already facing nearly 100 indictments related to criminal activity, has been charged with 33 additional counts in connection to gang members' roles in firing gunshots at several houses in Manchester in 2016.

Manchester man to serve 32 years in federal prison for transferring a minor across state lines for sex
Kurt Carpentino, 35, of Manchester, was sentenced in U.S. District Court to 32 years in prison for transporting a minor from New Hampshire to an abandoned motel in Vermont in 2017 for sex, U.S. Attorney Scott Murray announced Monday.

Don't punish immigrant families
